Hi again. This morning will see a continuation of the works on 3 paintings. A view from" Monte Falcone" is pretty much blocked in now. "The foothills of Monte Falone" is also pretty much blocked in. I am currently working on the foreground tree and sheep of course. I shall then proceed onto the ridge of the mountain where it meets the skyline. For the sky i have used titanium white and a touch of cadmium red toned down with a small touch of aliziran red. When I say a touch I really mean it. Then for a balance i add more titanium to blend to a tinted white. If you add too much red, simply move a smaller amount of your mix to a clean area on your palette and add more titanium white. If I had some rose madder I could have achieved the tint quicker.
