Hi from The Retreat's studio. Yesterday we went skiing but on the way I took a moment or two to take some photo's of trees. Trees are fantastic subjects and here in Le Marche at this time of the year their skeletal frames add drama and a cold feeling. Reflected colour from the surrounding landscape intensifies the effect. So this morning I shall be working on printing these images with a view to making studies leading to a painting or two.
